1.      Language

2.      High standard of Education
A course or training in translation services would be useful as it will help you in technical research and documentation. It would also teach you to write and speak the languages with proper pronunciation.
3.      Equipment and Software

4.      Specialize in a specific field
Translation services are required in various fields like literature, medical, legal, tourism, technical, political and many more. Choose your expertise area and work on it.

It is a great way of setting your business or getting started in this field. Sign up for newsletters or e-zines.
6.      Freelancing/full time job
You could work as a freelancer for various companies or be a full time employee at a MNC. Some companies give you the opportunity to work from home or office. You could work from the place you live in. for e.g. if you live in Brisbane and are fluent in German and you could be a German translator Brisbane.
